Data protection and processing of personal data at the Ami Foundation
The processing of personal data is based on one of the processing grounds defined in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As a general rule, the processing is based either on the data subject’s consent or on the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party. The collected personal data will not be processed for purposes other than those stated.
Disclosure of information
As a general rule, data is not disclosed. If requested, data is disclosed to the requester in accordance with the Act on the Openness of Government Activities (621/1999).
Data will not be transferred or disclosed outside the EU or EEA.
Data protection rights relating to the processing of personal data
The data subject has the right to know for what purposes and by what means their personal data are processed. The data subject also has the right to know whether personal data concerning them are being processed. If personal data are processed, the data subject has the right to obtain a copy of this information, unless there is a legitimate ground to refuse the data subject to exercise the right.
The data subject has the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning them. In certain cases, for example, in the case of newsletters, the data subject may also request the deletion of their personal data.

If necessary, you can lodge a complaint about the processing of your data by the Ami Foundation with the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
